A Fresh Start
A fresh Start! This design brings life and look to a Coastal front yard in Southern California. With the creation of a new pergola and walkway guests now have a legible path to enter the home from the street by crossing over the dry creek on a stone slab bridge and down a new brick staircase. Stepped stucco walls arranged to to mirror the design elements of the house were installed and landscape boulders were strategically placed to define space and function to retain slopes. The use of stone and drought tolerant and native plants create and open, natural front yard. Finally, the succulents form a living art piece hanging outside the kitchen window. The plants were selected for there color, pattern combination, and textural variations and have the feel of an abstract painting.
